Orosphinx is an operating system built for Egypt's gold trade, in its own vocabulary.
Why it exists — 01
The tools of the trade are a paper ledger, a calculator, and trust. They work — until the second branch, the third cashier, the day the rate moves twice before noon.
We build the parts that break first: live per-karat pricing at the counter, kasr intake with post-burn settlement, shift close with variance history, and a record of every change with its before-state.
How we work — 02
We pilot in real shops, on real data, in Arabic first. No invented customer counts, no certificate theatre — claims you can verify at the counter or in the code.
Grams and piastres
Weights to the gram, money to the piastre, rates to the minute. Precision is the product.
The record answers
Disputes, inspections, doubts — answered from an unerasable history.
Arabic first
The counter runs in Arabic, right-to-left, in the trade's own vocabulary. English is the translation.
